Plastic surgery used to be synonymous with having a ‘face lift’ or a ‘boob job.’ While there are plenty of people who still go ‘under the knife’ for a cosmetic plastic surgery procedure, (approximately 1.7 million such procedures were performed in the U.S. alone in 2015), people are much more likely to opt for a minimally-invasive procedure to achieve the desired result without the cost or consequences of traditional plastic surgery.According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, around 14.2 million minimally-invasive cosmetic procedures were performed in the U.S. in 2015, with an increasing number of those procedures performed on men. Just because a cosmetic procedure might be minimally-invasive, doesn’t mean it is without risk. If you elect to pursue such a procedure, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons recommends doing your homework first, and choosing a provider who is quality and highly trained.
